A modern campus approach at Tudor Park Sixth Form – Open Afternoon and Evening 16th November.
We are delighted to introduce to you our new 6th Form Provision at Tudor Park Education Trust. Our new campus approach to 6th Form education has been designed specifically to provide the best pathways for our young people – maximising their future opportunities through a bespoke personalised curriculum and qualification offer. We have quality assured each aspect of our offer to ensure that our 6th form students have only the best teaching, the best support, the best additional experience of university and work.
We firmly believe that students do better in a Sixth Form environment which has small classes – never bigger than 18 – and where each student is known well to all members of staff. The Tudor Park Offer pulls together the best expertise in 6th Form delivery from Springwest Academy and Logic Studio School with our partner consortium schools, in particular locally with Reach Academy.
We are able to offer to our A*-A students a highly academic curriculum with the additional challenge opportunities that are looked for by Russel Group Universities. This offer is there for those students with the highest GCSE grades across the board who know they want to go on to one of the top universities. Teachers delivering these courses will all have been to a top university with a 2.1 or first class degree.
We will be offering a ‘mixed economy’ pathway which is designed especially for students with an average of B grades at GCSE. They might do one or two A-levels and one or two specialist BTECs. For example Economics and Digital Games Design. Lots of different combinations can be taken, with 3 the ideal number. The BTEC courses are planned and supported by industry specialists 6 weeks works experience in a relevant industry supported by our business partners.
If a student has 5 or more C grades including English or Maths they will be best supported through our employment route. They will mainly do BTEC level 3 courses in one of our specialist areas. They will receive high level coaching from our business mentors with ongoing work experience ensuring entry into employment with a strong career pathway in their future.
Please come and see us on 16th November, when we will talk you through our pathways to success and you can find out about the unique tailored provision we will be offering. Students are being offered taster sessions in the afternoon followed by talks for parents at 3.15 and 6.00.
