First Red Day of the year – great success.
On Wednesday 11th October we had our first Red Day – a day filled with workshops and activities for all our students based around Healthy Living, Healthy Lifestyles and Healthy Minds. We had a large number of external professionals who came into school to give talks and demonstrations to students on matters such as: sexual health, First Aid, diet, sleep, alcohol awareness, domestic violence and issues around being digitally aware.
In addition there were a whole range of workshops for year 11 on preparing for the next stage academically and looking at employability, in particular, Personal Statement writing and Personal Qualities.
The day was a huge success and gave students the opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues around the workshops they took part in.
