Rainbow Day a Great Success

At Springwest, we believe in equality and diversity in our community and the air turned an array of colours on the 12th February, as we celebrated Rainbow Day in celebration of LGBT+ History Month. The aim of the month is to highlight contributions made by LGBT+ people throughout history. The wearing of bright colours reflects that everyone should be seen and heard as well as respected for who they are. West End star Layton Williams provided a Dance and discussion workshop on the 11th February, which was well attended. He shared his experiences of growing up as a gay man from the BAME community and how he faced challenges and rose to fame. He then put everyone through their paces in a workshop full of energy and fun!
