Ramadan is a time for self-reflection, self-betterment and repentance. Muslims around the world fast from dawn to dusk as a form of worship to God. It is a time of forgiveness and charity. At Springwest, we celebrate students and teachers who are fasting; we have a meditation room set aside for prayer for those who wish to pray. At the end of Ramadan, after 29 or 30 days, Muslims celebrate Eid – normally determined by the sighting of the moon. Eid is seen as God’s reward for the showing of strength and endurance during Ramadan. At Springwest, we hope to embody the spirit of Ramadan by showing kindness to those around us.
Ramadan Mubarak to all our school community!
