Royal Navy show us physics in action

Today we had a visit from Commander Neil Benstead a STEM ambassador, who works as an engineer in the Royal Navy. He described his role within the Navy and how he gained his qualifications and experience. The students were able to hear how some of their GCSE Science is used in practice. At the end there was a competition to see who could make the best blades for a model gas turbine. Well done Daniel Cristobel in Year 9 who made the most effective design!
