Pupil Premium Funding
The Pupil Premium Grant is additional funding provided by the Government to support the education of the most socio-economically disadvantaged students in Years 7 - 11. The funding is specifically targeted to those eligible for free school meals in the least 6 years. Looked after children attract additional funding which is managed by the Virtual School in Hounslow and has to be applied for by the school on a proof of need basis. Springwest has a high proportion of students eligible for Pupil Premium additional funding.
Pupil Premium funding for 19/20, which includes service premium, was £342,301.
The actual allocations are made on a financial year basis. The allocation for the financial year 20/21 was: £357,170 (374 students x £955)
The allocation for the financial year 19/20 was: £329,120 (352 students x £935).
These allocations are just for deprivation pupil premium. Note the rate per pupil went up in the financial year 20/21 from £935 to £955.
