Students Engaged in Remote Learning
While we are missing having all of our students here at school, we are excited to be offering a fantastic remote curriculum. We are proud of both our students and teachers for embracing this phase of remote learning!
At KS4 (Years 10 and 11) students are taking part in live lessons for all the subjects that they are doing a GCSE or vocational qualification in. At KS3 (Years 7-9) students are taught live lessons in Maths, English, Science, History, Geography and Languages. Our Creative Arts team is offering all students in Year 7 to Year 9 the opportunity to engage in creative areas through our #SpringwestShines programme.
Students can follow their timetables throughout the day and join their live lessons so that they can have daily interactions with their peers and teachers. All students have access to Google Classroom through their school-based Google Classroom account and have a separate Google Classroom page for each of their curriculum subjects. Guidance on how to access Google Classroom as well as further information on our remote curriculum can be found here.
We recognise that some students may not have suitable online access at home. If this is an issue for your child, please contact their tutor/ACO. Our tutors and pastoral staff will regularly be in contact with you to support you so please use these calls as an opportunity to ask questions if you are having difficulties of any sort.
