Y11 Geography Field Trip to Amersham

Y11 visited the Amersham Field Studies Centre to investigate how the River Misbourne changes downstream as part of their physical geography fieldwork experience for their GCSE exam. Our students visited two sites, one near its source to another where it joins the River Colne, where they measured the length of the channel, the depth along a cross section, the velocity and the size of the pebbles. And despite the heavy rain and number of falling ins(!) the Y11 students showed true resilience in collecting their data and all had an enjoyable day.
