Yr11 enjoy statistics workshops at Reading University

On Monday 5th November, fifteen Year 11 students attended a series of statistics workshops held at the University of Reading. The students worked with a group of pharmaceutical statisticians from Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline to find out about how their skills in research and analysis could be used in their future careers. Over the course of the day, students made commissioning decisions between alternative medicines, took part in trials and critiqued the design of different experiments. Ambassadors from Reading also took the Springwest students on a tour of the campus and answered questions about University life.
