Why did you choose Springwest for your child?

The facilities at Springwest are vast. The specialist centre’s are amazing. Beautiful green spaces and sports facilities are not comparable to other schools in our area. Springwest has a great sense of community.
 

What do you think about the teaching in the school?

The teaching is great. Teachers are always going out of their way to help students - whether adapting class work, setting extra work or communicating with home whether good or bad! The model of Do Now Activities to retrieve previously taught knowledge is great. They also do a great job of encouraging oracy.

How have the teachers motivated and supported your child to learn?

The staff here are committed to the students learning, not just academically but also committed to building their character. Intervention lessons have supported my son to feel confident and empowered to be successful in independent learning like Prep, as well as in mainstream lessons. 

What would you like a parent considering sending their children to Springwest Academy to know?

Springwest is a great school - probably the best in our community. There are so many levels of support and the learning opportunities are endless.

What is the main highlight on the school calendar?

There are too many! School productions are epic, Character days are a brilliant way to explore new topics, sports day is a fantastic inclusive opportunity.
