On Thursday 28th March we had our second Character Day of the year. These days provide our students with opportunities beyond the curriculum that encourage the development of Moral, Civic, Performance and Intellectual Virtues. The highlight of the day was a visit from the circus for Year 7. The team from Circus Sensible put their tent up before students arrived and put on an excellent show. Students then worked on different skills during the day and showcased them in a performance at the end. Our Year 7 students were so encouraging and supportive of each other during their performance; demonstrating the strong sense of community they have built this year.

Other workshops for KS3 included a library escape room where students had to work collaboratively to solve clues within a time limit, a spaghetti tower building challenge where students had to create a budget and buy resources to make the tallest tower with staff from Wates Construction and a dance workshop with a professional dancer. KS4 students had a CEIAG day where they learnt about CV writing and how to prepare for their next steps.

We can't wait for the final Character Day of the Year on the 12th July.
