Uniform
At Springwest Academy, our school uniform is a vital part of our identity and culture. It fosters a sense of pride, belonging and equality amongst our students, ensuring that everyone arrives at school ready to learn and prepared for the professional world beyond our gates. We hold exceptionally high expectations regarding uniform, hair and jewellery. We expect all students to uphold these standards every day.
Our primary focus is always on excellent Teaching and Learning. We want to completely avoid a situation where students miss valuable lesson time or are removed from their peers due to preventable uniform or appearance breaches.
To prevent any loss of learning time, we ask that families familiarise themselves with our detailed guildelines below before purchasing items. By working in partnership to ensure your child leaves home fully compliant with our policy we can keep the focus exactly where it belongs: on your child's education, progress and success.

What happens if my child arrives without full school uniform?
Students will be given 24 hours to rectify incorrect uniform. We ask families to contact us to discuss if there is a problem. If any item such as a hooded jumper, excess jewellery or a mobile phone is confiscated then the student can collect it at the end of the day for a first occurrence. If the same issue occurs again within a term, then we will insist that a member of the student's family come into school to collect the item. Pupils not in full school uniform may be withdrawn from lessons.
