Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge – Assembly Final
BackSpringwest Academy held its Speak Out Challenge - Assembly Final this Tuesday, with four Year 10 speakers going head-to-head in front of a crowd of Year 9 pupils and a panel of judges, including last year's winner in Year 11, Fouzia. The winner would move onto the next round of the competition, the Regional Final for Hounslow.
Kaden started off proceedings with a strong speech about the importance of physical activity in living a physically and mentally healthy life. This was followed by Oscar who preached the power of calisthenics and then Manleen who addressed the cost of living crisis through the lens of the Tesco Meal Deal. Finally, Sophie argued for the value of sex education in schools.
All the speeches were incredibly impressive, with the judges remarking on the high standard on show. However, there could only be one winner... Kaden.
Thank you to our judges, Ms Tibbs, Mr Franklin and Fouzia for taking part as the panel of judges. We look forward to seeing Kaden at the Hounslow Regional Final on 26th February!
