Mini Olympics

Some days leave a mark on your heart and our trip to the Mini Olympics at Osterley Sports Centre was one of them. Sponsored by the Martindale Fund, this disability sports event brought together people of all ages and abilities for a day that had nothing to do with winning and everything to do with taking part. A number of schools across the Borough with provision for physically disabled students too part.

The events were adapted to level the playing field - seated throws, assisted races and team challenges that emphasised co-operation over competition. Students were resilient and thoroughly enjoyed the day, coming away with certificatesm medals and a Martindale goodie bag.
