KS3 pupils at Springwest Academy recently took part in a Dragon's Den-style social enterprise challenge, where students developed business ideas aimed at supporting their community.

Pupils showed excellent creativity, confidence and teamwork as they presented their ideas to a panel of judges. One team, Springwest Saves, was awarded the Best Teamwork prize for their community-focused food enterprise using homemade jams and chutneys to reduce waste and support local food banks.

The judges praised the team's focus on sustainability, use of school-grown produce and positive community impact. They also encouraged pupils to continue developing the project through branding, packaging and a future tea party launch event.

Springwest Academy is incredibly proud of all pupils involved and the enthusiasm and professionalism they showed throughout the project.
