Bite Back - A Youth Activist Movement

In the final week before the May half term, Springwest students were proud to welcome Victoria O'Keeffe from the Department for Education to discuss the improvements that could be made to school food. The Springwest Bite Back team, members of the School Council and the Head Boy and Head Girl took part in a one-hour roundtable discussion with Victoria, answering questions about what they enjoy about the school food experience at Springwest and what could be improved. The students had a chance to hone in on developing civil virtues, discussing important political issues and making policy recommendations which we could see implemented across the entire country in years to come!
